Abcon Automation is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Electronics Instrumentation Technician to install, maintain, troubleshoot, calibrate, and repair electronic instrumentation and industrial control systems. The successful candidate will ensure the reliability, accuracy, and performance of instrumentation and automation equipment used in our operations.

This role requires strong technical knowledge of industrial electronics, instrumentation, and control systems, along with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex equipment issues in a safe and efficient manner. Key Responsibilities Install, inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electronic instrumentation and control systems. Calibrate and test instruments including pressure, temperature, level, flow, and analytical devices. Diagnose and resolve electrical, electronic, and control system failures. Program, troubleshoot, and maintain PLCs and associated control equipment. Interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, P&IDs, and technical manuals. Perform preventive and predictive maintenance activities on instrumentation equipment. Support production and operations teams by minimizing equipment downtime. Maintain accurate maintenance, calibration, and repair records. Assist with system upgrades, automation projects, and equipment installations. Ensure compliance with company safety policies and applicable regulatory requirements. Collaborate with engineering, operations, and maintenance personnel to improve system performance. Required Qualifications Associate degree, technical diploma, or equivalent experience in: Instrumentation Technology Electronics Technology Industrial Automation Electrical Engineering Technology Minimum of 2-5 years of industrial instrumentation or electronics maintenance experience.

Strong knowledge of:

Industrial control systems PLCs (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or similar) Electronic troubleshooting Calibration techniques Electrical and electronic testing equipment Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and electrical schematics. Proficiency using multimeters, oscilloscopes, process calibrators, and related test equipment. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Preferred Qualifications Journeyman Instrumentation Technician certification. ISA (International Society of Automation) certification. Experience with SCADA, DCS, and HMI systems. Experience in manufacturing, chemical processing, utilities, food processing, or power generation environments. Knowledge of industrial networking and communications protocols. Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, climb ladders, and work in industrial environments. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Ability to work in confined spaces and elevated work areas as required. Ability to distinguish wire colors and read instrument displays.
