Full‑time Overtime available Travel required Position Overview Arias Communication Services is hiring a Fiber Technician experienced in fiber splicing. This role supports
FTTH/FTTP
builds, fiber restoration, and customer‑side service activation. This is a full‑time W‑2 position with benefits, company vehicle, paid travel, and steady year‑round work. Key Responsibilities Fiber Splicing — Fusion splicing, terminations, OTDR testing, light‑level verification OSP Field Work — Aerial and underground fiber maintenance Cable Fault Location — Locate and repair fiber faults with minimal downtime Documentation — Read staking sheets, fiber schematics, and network maps Service Provisioning — Validate end‑to‑end service activation on fiber Reporting — Complete job photos, time logs, and production reports Safety Compliance — Follow OSHA, DOT, FCC, and ACS safety standards Required Experience 4 years of fiber splicing experience (aerial and underground) Valid driver's license and clean MVR High school diploma or equivalent Ability to work nights, weekends, and overtime when needed Ability to pass drug test, background check, and reference checks Physical Requirements Lift 40-80 lbs regularly Work at heights up to 50 ft (bucket truck or ladder) Stand, walk, climb, kneel, and crawl Work outdoors in all weather conditions Ability to distinguish colors for fiber identification Compensation & Benefits $30.00
