This role supports production operations by ensuring automated systems operate safely, efficiently, and with minimal downtime. The technician works closely with engineers, maintenance teams, and production staff to improve system performance and reliability. Job Description Key Responsibilities Automation & Robotics Support Install, configure, and maintain robotic systems and automated production equipment. Perform preventive maintenance and routine inspections on robotic cells, conveyors, sensors, and automated machinery. Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and control system issues. Programming & Controls Assist with programming, editing, and troubleshooting robotic, CNC, and PLC programs. Support PLC troubleshooting, modifications, and I/O diagnostics. Work with HMI interfaces to monitor and adjust system operations. System Integration & Improvements Support automation engineers with new equipment installations and system upgrades. Participate in commissioning and startup of new robotic cells and automated systems. Recommend improvements to increase reliability, efficiency, and safety. Production Support Respond to automation-related downtime events quickly and effectively. Work with production teams to diagnose and resolve process issues. Maintain documentation of repairs, modifications, and maintenance activities. Engage in reliability engineering efforts - FMEA, Spares, TPM, Etc. Safety & Compliance Follow all industry, regional, and GE Vernova safety standards. Assist with lockout/tagout procedures and machine safety verification. Ensure systems operate in compliance with company and regulatory standards. Required Qualifications Associate degree or technical certification in: Mechatronics Robotics Industrial Automation Electrical or Mechanical Technology (or equivalent experience) 2+ years experience in a manufacturing or automation environment.
Basic knowledge of:
Industrial robotics PLC systems Electrical troubleshooting Mechanical systems Preferred Qualifications Experience with industrial robots and cobots such as: FANUC robots KUKA robots ABB robots Yaskawa Motoman robots Familiarity with PLC platforms such as: Siemens Rockwell Automation (Allen-Bradley) Experience with: Servo systems Sensor actuator feedback loops Industrial networks (EtherNet/IP, Profinet) Vision systems Conveyor automation Key Skills Robotics troubleshooting Electrical and mechanical diagnostics PLC and automation fundamentals Blueprint and electrical schematic reading Problem solving and root cause analysis Strong communication and teamwork Work Environment Industrial manufacturing shop floor Exposure to moving machinery, robotics cells, and electrical systems Requires use of PPE May require standing, lifting per local site requirements, climbing ladders, work from height, and working in confined areasPay Transparency:
The pay range for this position is $40.00/hr - $50.00/hr. This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information.
