Job Title:
Calibration Technician Job Description Actalent is seeking a skilled Calibration Technician with experience in calibration and a passion for precision equipment. The ideal candidate will have basic troubleshooting abilities, be proficient with MS Word and Excel, and possess excellent interpersonal and customer service skills. This role requires a minimum of one year of calibration experience, which can be partly offset by formal metrology training. You should be a self-motivated team player with a keen attention to detail, open to traveling to customer sites from Monday to Thursday, with the possibility of one overnight trip per month. Responsibilities Inspect, measure, and test equipment (IM&TE) in various disciplines such as Acoustical, Chemical, Dimensional, and more, ensuring compliance with specifications. Maintain secondary and/or working calibration standards. Perform basic maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of precision equipment. Collect, compile, measure, summarize, and record data gathered during calibration. Identify out-of-tolerance conditions and perform corrective actions, including adjustments and component replacement. Identify and correct measurement errors as applicable. Prepare calibration reports and certificates. Adapt existing calibration equipment and techniques for unique measurement tasks. Train subordinates in calibration concepts and procedures. Interact with other technicians, Customer Service Representatives, Account Managers, and customers. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Essential Skills Calibration experience Basic troubleshooting skills Proficiency in MS Word and Excel Strong attention to detail Interpersonal and customer service skills Self-motivated and team-oriented Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with electronics, oscilloscopes, multimeters, and power supplies Basic computer skills Formal metrology training High School diploma or equivalent Work Environment You will work in a lab environment alongside 15 other technicians, utilizing state-of-the-art equipment. The environment is not a clean room, fostering a collaborative and team-oriented atmosphere. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $33.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
