Shift Automotive Tech Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Automotive Technician to join our team. This role is essential in ensuring the reliability, safety, and efficiency of our production equipment and facility. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in troubleshooting electrical systems, along with mechanical aptitude and a proactive approach to maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot and repair electrical control circuits and PLC systems
• Diagnose and repair mechanical failures with an intermediate level of skill
• Read and interpret electrical, pneumatic and mechanical schematics
• Perform and document preventive maintenance and tasks to minimize downtime
• Support continuous improvement initiatives in equipment reliability and facility upkeep
• Fixing machinery, plumbing and heating as needed.
• Scheduling routine inspections and emergency repairs with outside vendors.
• Ensuring proper security measures for the workplace, including collaborating with a team of security professional.
• Maintaining day-to-day operations of facilities, such as delegating or completing maintenance orders.
• Creating reports on maintenance, repairs and safety for the leadership team.
• Preparing facilities for changing weather conditions.
• Collaborating on budgeting for facilities needs with the leadership team.
• Keeping buildings running smoothly by repairing wiring, replacing light bulbs and installing new equipment.
• Solve mechanical and electrical problems in the building systems.

Qualifications:

Education:

Associate's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field (preferred)

• Experience troubleshooting and repairing industrial electrical systems and mechanical components
• Working knowledge of PLC logic and controls (Siemens preferred)
• Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical manuals
• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to equipment reliability
