Tire Test Lab Associate I FLSA Status:

Chester, SC Summary:
The Tire Test Lab Associate I is responsible for performing laboratory tire testing to ensure product compliance, quality, and performance standards are met. This position executes standardized testing methods, collects and analyzes test data, and accurately documents results to support product validation and continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, mechanically inclined, and capable of working independently while following established testing procedures and safety standards.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Perform tire testingin accordance withestablished procedures and compliance requirements. Execute standardized test methods and accurately collect, analyze, and report test data. Assistwith preparing, coordinating, and conducting tire performance tests. Process test results and generate reports for engineering and management review. Maintain and update online databasescontainingtire testing and performance data. Ensure all testing equipment isoperatedsafely and according to departmental procedures. Follow all department safety policies, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), MSDS/SDS requirements, and emergency action procedures. Review work instructions, testing procedures, and documentation for continuous improvement opportunities. Identify testing irregularities, equipment concerns, or deviations from standard procedures and communicate findings to the supervisor. Maintainaccuratedocumentation and records of all testing activities. Utilize Microsoft Office applications and other software to document and communicate test results. Follow all company policies, procedures, and quality standards. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Perform other duties of equal orlessercomplexity as assigned by management.
Education & Experience:
High School Diploma 1-2 Years of manufacturing or warehouse experience
Preferred Qualifications:
High school diploma or GEDrequired. Associate degree, vocational certificate, or technical training in Automotive Technology, Tire Technology, ora relatedfield preferred. Minimum of three (3) years of manufacturing experience preferred. Minimum of three (3) years of tire industry, automotive maintenance, alignment, or related technical experience preferred. Strong troubleshooting and analytical problem-solving skills. Ability to follow standardized testing procedures and accurately document results. Basic computerproficiencywith Microsoft Office applications. Ability to prepare technical reports andmaintainelectronic records. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods throughout the workday. Frequently use hands to handle tools, equipment, and testing materials. Ability toreach withhands and arms while performing testing procedures. Ability to communicate effectively in both office and laboratory environments. Regularlylift upto75pounds. Occasionally lift up to 150 pounds with appropriate assistance or equipment. Ability to work in a manufacturing and laboratory environment with elevated noise levels.
Work Environment:
Manufacturing and laboratory environment. Exposure to moving mechanical equipment and elevated noise levels. Required to follow all safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), PPE requirements, and emergency response procedures. Night shift position - Training will be Monday- Friday day shiftfor the first 2-3 months.
