This energetic position offers the opportunity to work on high-voltage and low-voltage systems, ensuring the reliable operation of electrical infrastructure across various field sites. Your expertise will help keep critical power systems running smoothly, supporting essential utility and industrial operations. We value proactive problem-solving, safety consciousness, and a passion for electrical technology. Responsibilities Perform installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical transformers, including high voltage and low voltage systems, ensuring compliance with NEC (National Electrical Code) standards. Conduct rigging and cabling tasks to safely lift, position, and connect transformer components on construction sites or utility locations. Read and interpret blueprints, technical diagrams, and schematics to accurately execute wiring and system configurations. Utilize testing tools such as ohmmeters to diagnose electrical issues and verify system integrity. Operate bucket trucks and bucket lifts for climbing and accessing elevated equipment safely during field service activities. Conduct utility locating to identify underground cables and prevent damage during excavation or construction work. Perform welding as needed for structural repairs or component fabrication in the field or workshop environments. Assist with IT infrastructure connections related to transformer control systems and monitor electrical performance data. Support tree trimming operations around utility lines to prevent outages or damage caused by overgrowth. Follow safety protocols rigorously when working with high voltage systems or at construction sites, including proper use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment). Experience Candidates should bring proven experience in industrial or commercial electrical work, with a strong background in transformer maintenance and field service operations. Prior experience with rigging, cabling, welding, and climbing is essential. Familiarity with blueprint reading, NEC regulations, utility locating techniques, and low/high voltage systems will set you apart. Hands-on experience operating bucket trucks or bucket lifts enhances your ability to perform safely at heights. Knowledge of IT infrastructure related to electrical systems is a plus. Construction site experience involving electrical installations or repairs is highly valued. Candidates must demonstrate competence with testing tools like ohmmeters and possess a valid driver's license for field travel.
