Job Summary:

Performs basic maintenance such as oil changes, tire rotations, battery replacement, and multi-point inspections. Works under senior technicians.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Performs basic maintenance such as oil changes, tire rotations, battery replacement, and multi-point inspections. Use diagnostic tools, scanners, and software to identify and resolve issues accurately. Interpret technical manuals, schematics, and manufacturer specifications. Conduct thorough inspections and road tests to verify repairs. Ensure all work meets manufacturer and safety standards. Maintain high levels of accuracy and attention to detail. Review and verify repair work when necessary. Work closely with service advisors to communicate repair needs and timelines. Help prioritize workflow and improve shop productivity. Maintain accurate documentation of diagnostics and repairs. Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Knowledge of automotive systems and repair procedures. Basic mechanical knowledge. Own tools (basic set). Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills. Proficient with computer diagnostic equipment and software. Ability to read service and repair manuals. Ability to perform repairs in a timely fashion. Ability to read and interpret repair orders. Must be 18 years or older. Valid driver's license.

Education and Experience:

High school diploma or GED. Basic mechanical knowledge. ASE G1 (Maintenance & Light Repair) — helpful but not required.

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to work safely in a noisy area with many odors present. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. regularly. Must be able to inspect vehicle to determine repairs needed. Good vision to inspect repair work. Must be able to bend, stretch, kneel and squat to perform repairs and inspections. Must be able to reach below and above shoulder level.
