Occasional overtime may be required for testing or project deadlines, with advance approval. Job Summary We are seeking a Firestop Technician Installer to join our fire testing laboratory. This hands-on role is ideal for someone with construction or industrial maintenance experience who wants to develop specialized technical skills in fire testing and firestop systems. You will build and install firestop assemblies according to test plans and drawings, work with lab engineers and technicians, and support testing, assembly breakdown, maintenance, and cleanup. development.

Qualifications Required:

Construction, industrial maintenance, or similar hands-on experience. Ability to read tape measures, technical drawings, and schematics. Comfortable using hand and power tools. Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Outlook. Strong attention to detail, reliability, and willingness to learn. Ability to lift 25 lbs. regularly and up to 50 lbs. occasionally.

Preferred:

Experience with carpentry, framing, drywall, concrete, caulking, firestopping, or insulation. Forklift experience. Experience working from construction drawings. Work Environment This is a hands-on warehouse/laboratory position involving standing, walking, lifting, climbing, bending, kneeling, and working around loud testing and heavy equipment. Employees may also work in varying indoor and outdoor temperatures.

Pay:

$28.00 - $33.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
