Job Description

The Instrumentation & Electrical (I&E) Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of instrumentation, electrical, measurement, and communication systems supporting oil and gas production operations. This position plays a key role in maintaining safe, reliable, and efficient field operations while supporting SCADA systems, measurement equipment, and automation controls.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES
Safety- Actively participate in the company's safety program.
- Attend monthly and field safety meetings.
- Participate in Job Safety Analysis (JSA) reviews.
- Participate in Pre-Startup Safety Reviews (PSSRs).
- Promote and maintain a safe work environment. Instrumentation & Controls
- Program, maintain, and troubleshoot SCADA packs and ROC systems.
- Install, program, and maintain GL meters and valve control systems.
- Troubleshoot and repair Profire burner management systems.
- Calibrate and maintain LEL gas monitors. Measurement Systems Install, repair, maintain, and troubleshoot: Radar level transmitters Rosemount instrumentation Coriolis meters Flare meters LACT measurement systems Other field measurement equipment Communications
- Assist with maintenance of field communication systems.
- Manage and maintain communication towers.
- Troubleshoot and repair communication outages. Team Support
- Cross-train with other I&E leads and assist in developing field operators.
- Work independently while following established procedures.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, operators, and coworkers.
- Participate in the rotating weekend on-call schedule.
