The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining and repairing our IT infrastructure, ensuring that our systems are running smoothly and efficiently. This is a hands-on role that requires a strong understanding of electrical systems and the ability to work with high voltage equipment. Responsibilities
  • Install, maintain, and repair fiber optic cables and other IT infrastructure.
  • Use specialized equipment such as bucket trucks and aerial lifts to access and repair cables in hard-to-reach areas.
  • Perform fiber splicing, including cutting, stripping, and connecting cables.
  • Operate heavy equipment such as bucket trucks and forklifts.
  • Work at heights using climbing equipment and safety harnesses.
  • Communicate with team members and customers to coordinate repairs and provide updates on job status.
  • Troubleshoot and locate issues within network and perform repairs as needed; Utilizing OTDR or similar
  • Ensure all work is completed safely and in compliance with safety regulations. Skills
  • Experience with fiber splicing and repair.
  • Ability to operate heavy equipment, including bucket trucks and aerial lifts.
  • Experience with IT infrastructure and network maintenance.
  • Ability to climb and work at heights using climbing equipment and safety harnesses.
  • Strong communication skills for communicating with team members and customers.
  • Familiarity with bucket operation and other heavy equipment.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Qualifications Minimum of 2 years of experience in fiber splicing and telecommunications Experience with heavy equipment operation, including bucket trucks Ability to work at heights and climb structures safely Familiarity with using hand tools, voltmeters, and reading schematics
