About the Role As a CNC Laser Technician, you will play a vital role in our precision manufacturing operations by transforming raw sheet metal into high-quality components. You will leverage your technical expertise to operate advanced laser cutting machinery, ensuring that every part meets rigorous dimensional standards and production timelines. Responsibilities Configure and operate CNC laser cutting systems to manufacture precision metal parts according to engineering specifications. Analyze blueprints and technical drawings to ensure accurate setup and execution of production runs. Execute first-piece and in-process quality inspections using precision measuring tools to guarantee product integrity. Manage material flow by loading, unloading, and organizing sheet metal to maximize efficiency and minimize waste. Perform routine machine maintenance and area upkeep to ensure a safe and high-functioning production environment. Document production data and quality metrics to maintain accurate traceability throughout the manufacturing cycle. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot equipment or material issues and maintain schedule alignment. Required Skills High school diploma or GED. Proven experience operating CNC laser equipment in a manufacturing setting. Strong proficiency in reading and interpreting complex engineering blueprints and work orders. Demonstrated ability to use precision measurement tools like calipers and micrometers. Solid understanding of sheet metal properties and fabrication processes. Preferred Skills Hands-on experience with industrial fiber or CO2 laser systems. Background in aerospace, defense, or other highly regulated, quality-focused environments. Familiarity with CNC nesting software or basic laser programming. Experience with secondary fabrication processes such as bending or deburring.
