Gaming Tech - Gaming Technician Kalispel Tribe of Indians - 3.7 Airway Heights, WA Job Details Full-time 1 day ago Qualifications Computer operation Computer literacy Windows Microsoft Office High school diploma or GED Driver's License Computer networking Full Job Description Summary of Functions Assist in the support of Tribal Lottery System (TLS) through troubleshooting hardware and software. Repair and replace parts on Player Terminals, Kiosks, Money Handing / Counting devices, and other gaming / non-gaming equipment Perform machine moves, new machine installation, configuration and network setup on Player Terminals. Kiosks, Money Handing / Counting devices, and other gaming / non-gaming equipment. Perform preventative maintenance and cleaning Essential Duties and Responsibilities 1. Ensures compliance with the Kalispel Tribe of Indians- State of Washington Gaming Compact, Internal Controls, NIGC Regulations and Northern Quest Resort and Casino Policies and Procedures. 2. Properly troubleshoot/diagnose, and repair faulty Player Terminals, Kiosks, Money Handing / Counting and other gaming / non-gaming equipment. 3. Accurately apply game settings, options, and configurations. 4. Safely and effectively operate shop tools including hand tools, soldering equipment, and electronic test equipment, etc. 5. Maintain and accomplish proper documentation machine repair logs, work orders, Out of Service Reports, etc. 6. Consistently use machine entry procedures as established in the System of Internal Controls. 7. Complete machine moves, changes, and new machine installations and other projects assigned. 8. Respond to Floor calls in a timely manner. 9. Responsible for operation and maintenance of chip washing machine, including washing all value/non-value gaming chips. 10. Maintain and repair non-gaming equipment, i.e. vending machines. 11. Understand part inventory system. 12. Maintain security of equipment records and funds. 13. Follow policies and procedures as they relate to technical operations. Provide input on how policies and procedures may be streamlined to enhance machine repair, improve safety requirements, and security of equipment. 14. Provide exceptional service to customers and team members when performing job duties and conduct oneself in a professional and businesslike manner to reflect Northern Quest Resort and Casino's high standard of excellence. 1. Ensure control/protection of company assets. 2. Responsible for maintaining a good attendance record. 3. Provide remote and onsite support as required to our Kalispel Casino. 4. Escalate issues and service requests to vendors as required. 5. May be required to be a panelist for the Internal Review Hearings. 6. Supervisory Responsibilities This job has no supervisory responsibilities. Education High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required Associate's degree (A.A.) in related fields such as Electronics, Computer Science, and Information Technology or equivalent from two-year College or Technical school Experience Six months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. A strong electronic/mechanical background is preferred. Skills & Abilities 1. Must be computer literate with knowledge of MS Windows, MS Office Applications and basic networking. 2. Knowledge of electronic and mechanical troubleshooting and repairs. 3. Ability to maintain effective working relationships with department head and team members. Skill in solving practical problems and dealing with situations where only limited standardization exists. Excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills. Other Requirements Ability to obtain and maintain a Class III Gaming License. Valid driver's license (Must be in possession while operating a Tribal Vehicle). Available and willing to work nights, weekends and holidays as required. Physical Demands 1. Requires the ability to lift and/or move objects weighing up to 50 pounds. 2. Occasionally assist in a two (2) person lift and/or move up to 150 - 200 pounds. 3. Infrequently assist with multi-person lift and/or move up to 1700 pounds. 4. Constantly requires the ability to give and receive detailed information through verbal communication. 1. Constantly requires verbally expressing or exchanging ideas of important instructions accurately, loudly, or quickly. 2. Constantly requires working with fingers rather than the whole hand or arm. 3. Constantly requires repetitive movement of the wrists, hands and/or fingers. 4. Constantly requires walking or moving about to accomplish tasks. 5. Occasionally requires standing and/or sitting for sustained periods of time. 6. Occasionally requires ascending or descending stairs or ramps using feet and legs and/or hands and arms. 7. Occasionally requires raising objects from a lower to a higher position or moving objects horizontally. 8. Occasionally it requires stooping which entails the use of the lower extremities and back muscles. Infrequently it requires crouching. 9. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus. Work Environment While performing the duties of this job, the team member is frequently exposed to tobacco smoke, moving mechanical parts and fumes or airborne particles. The worker is frequently subject to environmental conditions, which provide protection from weather conditions, but not necessarily from temperature changes, and is occasionally subject to outside environmental conditions and to wet and/or humid conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Travel Requirements Local travel is occasionally required. Travel outside of the state is infrequently required.
