Job Description

Low Voltage / Access Control Technician
  • Gates, Security & Automation Location Whatcom County, WA Work throughout Whatcom, Skagit, Island, and Snohomish Counties About Us We are a small, specialized electrical contractor focused on:
  • Automatic gates
  • Access control systems
  • Video surveillance
  • Integrated security and automation systems Our team is made up of licensed electricians and apprentices who work on a wide range of residential, commercial, and multi-site projects throughout northwest Washington.
We are not a production-style electrical shop. Our work is technical, hands-on, and problem-solving focused. We're looking for someone who takes pride in clean installs, troubleshooting, and building systems that actually work well for customers. What You'll Do
  • Install and service automatic gate systems
  • Install and troubleshoot access control systems
  • Install and configure surveillance camera systems
  • Run conduit and low voltage cabling
  • Diagnose and repair electrical and control issues
  • Work independently or as part of a small crew
  • Perform Maintenance/New Installs in a refinery setting
  • Occasionally travel south into Snohomish County or the Seattle area
  • Be placed on a rotating "On-Call" Schedule Following a Probationary Period Ideal Experience We are open to a range of experience levels, including:
  • 06 electricians
  • 01 journeymen interested in controls/security work
  • Experienced low-voltage technicians
  • Gate automation or overhead door technicians
  • Security/Alarm installers Experience with any of the following is a plus:
  • Access control programming
  • Network-based systems
  • CCTV systems
  • All-O-Matic, LiftMaster, DoorKing, Viking, HySecurity, etc.
  • Troubleshooting and service work
  • Working in Refineries/Industrial Locations What We Offer

  • 06 Journeyman Electricians
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug test as well as random
  • Strong work ethic
  • Reliable and self-motivated
  • Good communication skills
  • Clean and organized workmanship
  • Ability to troubleshoot independently
  • Valid driver's license
