Charter Aarrowcast is hiring a Maintenance Electromechanic Technician to keep our Shawano foundry running safely and reliably. In this hands-on role you will troubleshoot, repair, and maintain motors, conveyors, furnaces, and automated systems that support gray and ductile iron casting. You'll perform preventive maintenance, electrical and mechanical repairs, basic PLC and controls support, and equipment upgrades while following strict safety and lockout/tagout procedures. Responsibilities Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on foundry electromechanical equipment, including motors, conveyors, furnaces, and control systems Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues using schematics, meters, and diagnostic tools to minimize downtime Install, align, and repair machinery components such as bearings, gearboxes, drives, sensors, and actuators Perform basic PLC/automation adjustments and assist with controls upgrades under engineering guidance Inspect equipment, document findings, and complete work orders in the maintenance CMMS system Follow all safety procedures, lockout/tagout, and 5 S standards in a heavy industrial environment Collaborate with production, engineering, and reliability teams to improve equipment performance and uptime Support continuous improvement projects focused on reliability, energy use, and process stability Maintain inventory of maintenance parts and recommend improvements to spare parts management Participate in training to build advanced electromechanical, welding, and troubleshooting skills Required Skills Industrial electrical troubleshooting Mechanical maintenance and repair Reading electrical and mechanical schematics PLC and automation basics Preventive and predictive maintenance AC/DC motors, drives, and controls Pneumatics and hydraulics Welding and fabrication basics Use of multimeters and diagnostic tools Lockout/Tagout and industrial safety
