NOVARES Position Summary We are seeking a skilled Automation Technician to support and maintain automated manufacturing equipment in a fast-paced production environment. This role is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and improving automated systems including robots, PLCs, and vision systems to ensure optimal equipment performance and minimal downtime. Key Responsibilities Troubleshoot and repair automation equipment including robots, PLCs, sensors, and vision systems Support production by quickly responding to equipment issues and restoring functionality Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on automated systems Assist with programming, debugging, and modifying PLC and robot programs Support new equipment launches, installations, and automation improvements Work with engineering and maintenance teams to identify and implement process improvements Document repairs, modifications, and maintenance activities Ensure compliance with all safety policies and procedures Qualifications Associate degree or technical certification in Automation, Mechatronics, Electrical Technology, or related field preferred 3+ years of experience troubleshooting industrial automation equipment in a manufacturing environment Experience with PLC systems (Allen Bradley, or similar) Experience with industrial robots (Fanuc, ABB, Whittman, or similar) preferred Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills Ability to read electrical schematics and technical drawings Experience with sensors, servo systems, and HMIs preferred Vision inspection systems Preferred Experience Preferred experience with RSLogixs 500, 5000, and Studio 5000 programming Plastic injection molding automation End-of-arm tooling and robotic part handling High-volume manufacturing environments
