Strong electrical commissioning and startup experience. Experience with electrical testing, energization, and troubleshooting in power generation. Gas turbine commissioning experience required. GE LM6000 or similar aeroderivative gas turbine experience strongly preferred.
Job Summary :
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Commissioning Technician to support the commissioning recovery and startup of two
GE LM6000
simple-cycle gas turbine units. This hands-on field position will support electrical system testing, troubleshooting, energization, and equipment readiness as the units progress through commissioning, startup, testing, and reliable commercial operation.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
Perform electrical commissioning, testing, and system checkout activities. Support energization and verify electrical systems are ready for startup and operation. Troubleshoot electrical equipment, circuits, controls, and field wiring. Perform inspections and testing of switchgear, MCCs, motors, transformers, panels, and associated equipment. Support electrical interface troubleshooting between turbine packages, auxiliaries, and plant systems. Identify deficiencies and support resolution of electrical punch-list items. Coordinate with I&C, mechanical, operations, contractors, OEMs, and vendors during commissioning and startup.
Job Requirements :
Strong hands-on electrical commissioning, startup, or testing experience. Experience with industrial power distribution and electrical equipment. Knowledge of electrical safety, LOTO, energization, and commissioning practices. Ability to use electrical test equipment and troubleshoot electrical systems in the field. Ability to read one-lines, schematics, wiring diagrams, and equipment drawings. Ability to work an extended commissioning schedule in an active power plant environment. Education /
Experience :
Electrical technical training, apprenticeship, or equivalent field experience. 5+ years of electrical commissioning, startup, testing, or power generation experience preferred. Previous LM6000, LM2500, TM2500, or comparable aeroderivative gas turbine experience strongly preferred.
