Onsite - onsite Overview System One is seeking an Electrical Engineer for a full-time position in Lake Mary, FL. This position is responsible for leading and designing the electrical power distribution network and signal network for the auxiliary equipment of our Gas Turbine projects. Our voltage levels are primarily in the low-voltage side (600V and below) with implementation of equipment such as MCCs, Panelboards, LV Transformers, DC Systems and Batteries. Responsibilities Lead and design electrical power distribution and signal network systems for Gas Turbine projects, utilizing expertise in low-voltage equipment such as MCCs, Panelboards, LV Transformers, DC Systems, and Batteries. Create detailed electrical drawings including single-line diagrams, panelboard schedules, load lists, motor lists, feeder schematics, cable schedules, wiring diagrams, and control schematics. Perform calculations for sizing electrical components, cables/conduits, equipment spacing, and illumination levels. Assist in preparing purchase specifications, vendor selection, and review of technical documentation to ensure project requirements are met. Coordinate with cross-functional teams and oversee electrical designers' work to ensure seamless system integration. Maintain compliance with electrical codes and standards, especially NFPA 70, ISO, IEC, IEEE, ISA, ANSI, UL, CSA, and
NFPA 70E.
Support vendor documentation review and ensure technical and schedule adherence. Mentor and collaborate with less experienced engineers, providing guidance and coaching. Manage project schedules, identify deviations, and implement corrective actions to avoid delays. Participate in safety policies, team efforts, and process improvements to optimize workflows and reduce costs. Provide technical support during manufacturing and commissioning phases. Travel up to 5% as required. Requirements Bachelor's degree (BA) in Electrical Engineering required. Minimum of 5 years of experience in industrial facility power distribution design up to 600VAC and 220VDC; 7+ years preferred. Strong knowledge of
NEMA, IEC, IEEE, ISA, ANSI, NFPA 70E, UL, CSA
standards desirable. Experience with ETAP, SmartPlant Electrical, SmartSketch, and SmartPlant 3D software preferred. Ability to interpret electrical design requirements and produce detailed drawings and calculations. Excellent communication and team coordination skills. Ability to mentor junior engineers and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
