Job Description

Overview Engineering Design Services is seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer to join our team. An ideal candidate will be proficient in both electrical and instrumentation. The ideal candidate will be able to support EDS on a wide variety of maintenance and capital projects that relate to the themed entertainment and aerospace industries. You will also assist in expanding the client network and be responsible for managing specific client relationships. This role will involve producing high-quality engineering documents/reports while ensuring compliance with client requirements, code specifications, and site specifications. Duties Knowledge & Understanding of P&IDs, Drawings, and Construction Methods Work on the technical design of electrical and instrumentation portions of projects, conforming to applicable codes and standards Understanding of loop drawings, one-line diagrams, arc flash studies, and TCC curves Ability to size cable/conduit, motor starters, and other electrical components Ability to specify instrumentation as needed for various projects, such as temperature indicating transmitters, pressure indicating transmitters, etc. Develop complex 2D/3D models Visit sites to perform engineering assessments Experience 2+ years of experience in Electrical and/or Instrumentation Engineering BS Degree in an Engineering Discipline Knowledge and experience with industrial electrical equipment and processes Excellent communication skills to work as part of a team with other engineering disciplines, design, drafting, and provide technical support Understanding of the National Electric Code (NEC) to create electrical construction documents Experience in one of the following fields: robotics, automotive, aircraft, marine, autonomous vehicles, themed entertainment, or power plant type industrial systems
