Role Overview We are looking for an Electrical Hardware Engineer to become a key member of our expanding technical team. This position is perfect for professionals who thrive on managing the full life cycle of electrical systems for industrial machinery, from the initial concept to final deployment. While your focus will be on electrical hardware design rather than PLC programming, you will partner with mechanical, controls, and assembly teams to ensure that all equipment is both highly functional and easy to manufacture, meeting every client specification. Core Duties Draft electrical schematics for specialized automated systems and industrial hardware. Produce control panel configurations, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation utilizing ECAD platforms like AutoCAD Electrical. Manage and update Bills of Material (BOMs) alongside detailed component specifications. Choose essential electrical parts, such as PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, power supplies, safety gear, sensors, and networking hardware to ensure system reliability. Draft pneumatic schematics and provide guidance on component selection to optimize system performance. Partner with the mechanical engineering department to guarantee that all system components integrate seamlessly. Provide technical guidance to the manufacturing and assembly teams to help streamline the machine build process. Conduct thorough testing, troubleshooting, and design reviews to verify the integrity of all electrical systems. Engage in machine commissioning, Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), and final system validation to ensure project success. Maintain strict adherence to electrical and machine safety regulations to ensure a secure working environment for all. Professional Requirements A Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline. At least three years of professional experience in electrical system design for OEM manufacturing, automation, or industrial machinery. Proven ability to generate electrical schematics and panel layouts using ECAD tools such as SolidWorks Electrical or AutoCAD Electrical. Demonstrated success in managing Bills of Material and the procurement of electrical components. A solid understanding of hardware used in industrial automation settings.
