Job Title:
Electrical Engineer Job Description We are seeking a dedicated Electrical Engineer to design and conduct analyses supporting the development of battery packs, chargers, and safety systems. The engineer will lead the concept phase, design activities, and report on design progress with limited supervision. Responsibilities Perform complete electrical design including schematics, layout, DFM with the PCBA supplier, and BOM generation. Conduct worst case circuit analysis and perform de-ratings for the entire electrical design. Design and document robust hardware architecture and structure for high reliability applications. Lead electrical hardware component selection and optimization for microcontrollers and battery/charger management devices. Provide sustaining support to existing products and collaborate in a cross-functional team for electrical system level integration and manufacturability. Utilize Electrical DFMEAs to ensure product compliance with customer specifications and requirements. Construct prototypes, evaluate their performance, and identify possible improvements. Explore new and existing circuit designs and methods to solve design challenges. Essential Skills 5-7 years of experience in electrical design, schematic capture, and power electronics. Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering. 3+ years of experience in electronics manufacturing in consumer, telecom, automotive, or military industries. Proficient in PCB layout and electrical schematic capture using tools like Altium, Cadence, or Orcad. Strong understanding of digital and analog circuitry. Experience with system interfaces such as I2C, SPI, CAN, RS-232, USB, and/or Ethernet. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in battery technology is advantageous. Altium proficiency preferred. Knowledge of DFMEA and circuit analysis. Familiarity with electronics manufacturing processes. Work Environment This is an onsite role requiring presence 5 days a week. The work involves collaboration with a cross-functional team in a dynamic environment focused on innovative battery and power solutions. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Woodridge, IL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $125000.00/yr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
