M-F, standard business hours Job#: bh19561 The team develops and demonstrates advanced sensor systems and command-and-control concepts incorporating emerging signal and data processing algorithms, architectures, and techniques. Major activities include system concept development for RF and optical systems, modeling and simulation, signal processing algorithm design, RF and optical system design and development, experimental field testing, data analysis, and development of one-of-a-kind operational and experimental test assets. The team has expertise in adaptive sensor array processing for radar and communications, advanced real-time software techniques, signal detection and estimation, communications, and systems analysis. The work involves significant field testing and data collection to prove new concepts, along with collaboration with other technical teams on real-time prototype implementation, experiment execution, and systems analysis. Required Skills Clearance Candidates must currently hold an active Top Secret clearance. Work Location Hybrid. Candidates should expect to work onsite at least three days per week and must live within a routinely commutable distance of the work location. Interview Process The initial interview will be a pre-screen with the hiring manager. Candidates who advance will interview with technical leadership and members of the technical staff. Travel Travel is not required, although there may be opportunities for domestic and international travel. Key Qualifications MS in Electrical Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Physics, or a related field. 6+ years of relevant experience performing systems analysis or data analysis. Experience in several of the following areas: radar systems engineering, radar data analysis, signal processing, and statistical data analysis. Ability to explore innovative techniques and algorithms and understand how new developments can affect existing radar system capabilities. Expert-level MATLAB experience, including anonymous functions, object-oriented programming, and relevant toolboxes such as the Phased Array System Toolbox. Strong experience with radar and statistical signal processing, including detection and estimation, Wiener filtering, Fourier transforms, filtering techniques, linear algebra, and statistical analysis. Experience with modeling and simulation and hardware/software integration. Strong organizational skills with the ability to complete assignments independently and in a team environment and effectively present results. Effective communication skills with colleagues, sponsors, and other research organizations.
