Copilot said: Electrical EngineerOverview Electrical Engineer responsible for supporting manufacturing and industrial operations through electrical design, power distribution, controls, instrumentation, reliability, and capital project execution. This role partners with engineering, maintenance, and operations teams to improve equipment performance, system reliability, safety, and operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities Create, update, and validate electrical designs, schematics, and drawings for power distribution, control systems, and instrumentation Maintain electrical documentation and site-wide power distribution models Perform equipment failure analysis and recommend corrective actions and reliability improvements Evaluate equipment replacements, upgrades, and capital improvement projects Develop project scopes, budgets, and cost estimates for engineering initiatives Collaborate with maintenance, reliability, planning, and operations teams to execute projects Troubleshoot electrical systems, controls, and plant equipment to minimize downtime Lead continuous improvement efforts focused on performance, efficiency, and cost reduction Coordinate planned shutdowns, outages, and maintenance-related engineering projects Manage contractors and vendors for capital projects and major maintenance activities Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, Computer Engineering, or related field Experience with electrical systems, power distribution, motor controls, and industrial equipment Ability to read, create, and update electrical drawings and technical documentation Knowledge of industrial control systems, instrumentation, and troubleshooting methods Experience performing root cause analysis and equipment failure investigations Project management experience supporting engineering or maintenance initiatives Strong problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills Proficiency with engineering software, drawings, and technical reporting tools Preferred Qualifications Experience in a manufacturing, pulp and paper, chemical, process, or industrial production environment Background in maintenance, reliability engineering, or maintenance supervision Experience supporting capital projects, plant shutdowns, and equipment upgrades Knowledge of continuous improvement and operational efficiency initiatives Familiarity with contractor management and project scheduling Work Arrangement On-Site Approximately 10% travel required, including domestic and occasional international travel Position supports industrial manufacturing operations and engineering project activities across multiple facilities Equal Opportunity Employer/Veterans/Disabled Benefit offerings include medical, dental, vision, term life insurance, short-term disability insurance, additional voluntary benefits, commuter benefits and 401K plan.
