Exempt Physical Electrical Engineer I $67,000 - $84,000 | Hybrid with in person reporting to Duluth, MN Apply your electrical engineering expertise to design and deliver substation projects that power our communities for generations. From greenfield developments to critical system upgrades, you'll help shape safe, reliable, and innovative utility infrastructure while collaborating across disciplines and assisting on projects from concept through construction. What you'll do Physical design for substation projects from concept to completion, ensuring technical excellence, safety, and regulatory compliance. Design the physical layout, grounding, and specify equipment (circuit breakers, transformers, disconnect switches, conduit, conductors, buswork, grounding, etc) for electrical substations. Collaborate with other stakeholders and engineering disciplines as projects progress from initiation to completion. Provide technical assistance for projects in construction and to other internal and external departments. Define project Scope, estimating project costs, equipment procurement. Resolve substation design challenges and apply standards such as NEC, NESC, IEEE, andNERC CIP.

The expected annual compensation range for this position is $67,000 - $84,000. Compensation offered to the selected candidate will vary depending on relevant knowledge, skills, training, and experience.
