Plant Engineer Job Description Company Overview:

The Maintenance Plant Engineer reports directly to the Director of Operations and collaborates to ensure that routine facility utility processes are carried out in the safest, most time-efficient, and cost-effective way possible. The Maintenance Plant Engineer will achieve this through reviewing and modifying existing processes, designing, and implementing new procedures or improvements. All tasks performed by the Maintenance Plant Engineer will strictly adhere to OSHA regulations, internal policies, SOPs, and any other relevant external regulations. The role requires strong communication skills, both verbal and written, as close collaboration with upper management, the Plant Manager, and Supervisors is essential for the facility's smooth operation. The Maintenance Plant Engineer must remain calm under pressure, make informed decisions in emergencies, and play a crucial role in time-critical situations. Critical areas of focus will include: Learning machinery and the manufacturing process. Writing and maintaining current SOPs, keeping them up to date for operators and maintenance technicians. Managing all areas of maintenance, including ongoing equipment and facility maintenance. Maintaining and ordering a sufficient spare parts inventory. Providing hands-on maintenance support while working closely with maintenance technicians. Critical thinking and troubleshooting skills for plant facility and manufacturing machinery issues. Operating every machine in the building, understanding preventative maintenance and spare parts programs, and minimizing downtime. Driving success in meeting production and volume goals, exceeding KPIs, and actively participating as an integral member of the Plant Management Team. Supervising and training the maintenance team to ensure their performance meets standards. Training other staff on safety procedures, running, and maintaining machinery. Reviewing and monitoring current maintenance processes to optimize efficiency while meeting budget expectations. Involvement in the development of new facilities, planning, and implementation of facility infrastructure and utility systems as needed for future expansion. Responsibility for maintaining computerized maintenance management systems. Manage capex projects related to facility, process and product improvements. Oversee the LOTO program for OSHA complianceRequired Skills/Abilities:
Thorough understanding of mechanical and electrical engineering. Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills. Exceptional organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail. Proficient analytical and problem-solving skills. Prioritization skills and the ability to delegate tasks when appropriate. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or related software. Ability to travel and liaison with multiple plants.Education and Experience:
A college degree is preferred, but significant engineering experience will be considered. Strong knowledge and experience of hydraulic and pneumatic systems. Ability to diagnose and repair electrical systems. Ten years of experience in the manufacturing industry preferred, with a roll-up-sleeves mentality.Physical Requirements:
Must be able to access and navigate all areas of the production facility. Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift at least 20 pounds at a time.Facility Location:

Pay From $90,000 - 110,000 annually depending on experience Monday through Friday, 7 am to 4 pm, with possible, overtime and weekends as projects or needs necessitate.Benefits:
