As a Quality/Test Engineer, you will manage the final test department, focusing on the execution and maintenance of mechanical and electrical testing protocols for high and medium-voltage power cables. Your primary objective is to guarantee that all products align with internal quality standards, customer requirements, and industry specifications by utilizing precise data analysis, rigorous testing methods, and robust process controls. Core Duties Provide technical guidance and direct supervision to Final Test staff. Conduct electrical evaluations on high- and medium-voltage cables, such as insulation resistance, AC Withstand, continuity, and PD testing. Execute physical and mechanical assessments, including dimensional checks, tensile testing, and elongation measurements. Evaluate testing data to pinpoint trends or issues and generate official certified reports to ensure product reliability. Manage the calibration, troubleshooting, and upkeep of specialized high-voltage testing machinery. Facilitate quality audits, root cause investigations, corrective actions, and customer-led inspections to maintain high standards. Collaborate with production and engineering departments to enhance testing efficiency, accuracy, and overall product quality. Candidate Profile Possess 1 to 3 years of professional background in high-voltage testing, cable manufacturing, or a similar technical domain. Demonstrate practical proficiency in MV/HV cable testing, with a focus on AC Withstand and PD procedures. Maintain a solid grasp of cable insulation materials like EPR and XLPE alongside fundamental electrical testing concepts. Showcase expertise in operating high-voltage testing hardware while strictly adhering to safety protocols. Exhibit the capacity to interpret complex industry standards and technical specifications. Utilize strong problem-solving, communication, and analytical abilities to drive team success. Preferred Qualifications Hold an AS or BS degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline. Possess specialized experience with AC Withstand and Partial Discharge (PD) testing methodologies. Maintain familiarity with relevant industry standards such as AEIC CS8, ANSI/ICEA, and UL 1072.
