3098 Job Summary/Overview The Senior Electrical Engineer leads the design, development, and integration of electrical and control systems for lifting platform products and related material handling solutions. This position serves as a technical expert responsible for complex electrical architectures, product innovation, compliance, functional safety, and cross-functional project execution. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Lead electrical and controls design activities across ETO, new product development, product enhancement, and sustaining engineering programs. Develop and approve electrical architectures, schematics, wiring diagrams, panel layouts, cable assemblies, I/O lists, and BOMs. Design and integrate power distribution systems, motor controls, braking systems, VFDs, sensors, encoders, and safety controls. Serve as SME for electrical system design, functional safety, EMC/EMI compliance, and applicable standards. Lead design reviews, DFMEAs, hazard analyses, and root cause investigations. Mentor engineers, designers, and technicians. Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, sourcing, and service teams. Lead prototype development, validation testing, and certification activities. Perform other duties as assigned. Knowledge, Skills, Competencies, and Abilities Advanced knowledge of industrial electrical and controls systems used in lifting and material handling equipment. Strong understanding of power distribution, motor control, safety circuits, sensors, and industrial communications. Expertise in electrical design analysis, grounding, protection, and EMC compliance. Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills. Experience leading technical projects and cross-functional teams. Excellent communication and mentoring abilities. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required; Master's preferred. 7+ years of electrical engineering experience. Experience leading projects from concept through production release. AutoCAD and SolidWorks experience required. Experience with electro-mechanical systems, hoists, cranes, or lifting platforms strongly preferred.
