Nashua, NH Amphenol High Speed Products Group is the market leader for high speed, high bandwidth electrical cables for the Telecom/Datacom market (Mobile Networks, Storage, Servers, Routers, Switches, etc.). Our products help to enable the electronics revolution and remain a key enabler for all the major Tier 1 OEMs globally. We are currently seeking a Mechanical Integrity Engineer to join our Cable Assembly team. The position will be located in Nashua, New Hampshire.
RESPONSIBILITIES
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Product Qualification Engineer to lead the qualification and testing efforts for Passive Direct Attach Cables (DAC), Active Electrical Cables (AEC), Active Optical Cables (AOC), and Optical Transceivers. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring our products meet the highest standards of reliability, performance, and compliance across various protocols and industry standards. Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive product qualification plans for Passive DAC, AEC, AOC, and Optical Transceiver products. Ensure products comply with industry standards such as Ethernet, PCIe, SAS, and others. Process and analyze test data, create reports and presentations for internal and external customers. Work closely with cross-functional teams, including R D, manufacturing, and product management, to align qualification efforts with business objectives. Maintain detailed records of qualification processes, test results, and compliance certifications. Continuously improve qualification methodologies to enhance efficiency and accuracy. Build and maintain an Interop lab with hardware and software matching known customer use cases
QUALIFICATIONS
BS in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering 3-5 years of professional experience Experience with solid modeling tools - SolidWorks and/or Pro/E Experience with data analysis software - MS Excel, Minitab would be a plus Understanding of electrical systems and electrical cables Experience with PCIe, DAC, AEC, and AOC testing Understanding of datacenter architectures such as spine-leaf and AI-fabric designs Demonstrated CCNA/CCNP-level proficiency in configuring, troubleshooting, and maintaining network s. Understanding of specifications such as
EIA-364-X, GR-468-X, GR-78-X
etc. Understanding of how to perform testing and complex data analysis Ability to communicate with technical & non-technical stakeholders Ability to work in a team environment
