Job Description Design electrical systems including power distribution, lighting, grounding, emergency power, and low-voltage systems. Perform electrical load calculations, short-circuit studies, and coordination analyses using industry-standard software. Prepare construction documents, specifications, drawings, and technical reports for project delivery. Develop equipment selections and schedules for electrical systems and components. Coordinate electrical designs with mechanical, plumbing, structural, and architectural disciplines. Conduct site visits, field surveys, and existing building assessments to support project development. Review contractor submittals, respond to RFIs, and provide construction administration support throughout project execution. Ensure designs comply with
NEC, NFPA
standards, local building codes, and client requirements. Attend client meetings and collaborate with internal and external project stakeholders throughout all phases of design and construction. Support project managers in maintaining project schedules, budgets, and deliverables. The Successful Applicant Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering. 3-8+ years of experience in MEP consulting engineering. Experience designing electrical systems for commercial, healthcare, higher education, laboratory, multifamily, life sciences, or mission-critical facilities. Proficiency with AutoCAD and Revit MEP. Experience with electrical analysis and design software such as SKM, ETAP, EasyPower, or similar platforms. Strong knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC), NFPA standards, and applicable building codes. EIT certification preferred; PE licence or ability to obtain licensure highly desirable. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Excellent organisational, problem-solving, and analytical abilities. Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary project teams and manage multiple priorities. What's on Offer Competitive salary of $130,000-$160,000 plus annual bonus potential.
