We are seeking a Project Engineering Lead to guide cross-functional delivery of mechanical, electrical and controls engineering initiatives. • Systems Integration What you would do Typical responsibilities could include: Leading engineering project delivery across mechanical, electrical and controls disciplines, with ownership of scope, timeline and quality Coordinating design reviews, testing protocols and CAD-based documentation to ensure adherence to design standards and regulatory expectations Managing stakeholder communication across design, manufacturing, field application and operations teams Supporting the development and mentoring of junior engineers and contributing to team capability building Driving continuous improvement in project delivery processes, testing methodologies and design integration Overseeing system integration activities and field application testing to validate performance against specification What you could bring Most roles of this type require the following: Must-have 5-10 years of engineering experience, with demonstrated expertise in mechanical, electrical or controls systems 2-5 years of experience leading or coordinating engineering teams or cross-functional project delivery Proficiency in CAD software and familiarity with design standards, testing protocols and manufacturing constraints Working knowledge of system integration, field application testing and regulatory or quality compliance frameworks Strong stakeholder management and communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences Proficiency with Jira or equivalent project tracking tools Authorization to work in the United States Nice-to-have Advanced degree in Engineering or related field PMP, PE or equivalent professional certification Experience in regulated industries or complex manufacturing environments What roles of this type could offer Most roles of this type offer the following, dependent on the industry and seniority of the role: Opportunity to lead technically complex, cross-disciplinary projects with direct impact on product delivery Scope to influence engineering standards, processes and team capability within your domain Exposure to diverse stakeholder environments and cross-functional collaboration at scale Potential progression toward senior or lead-level engineering responsibility, where supported by the role context Professional development, mentorship and the chance to shape how engineering delivery is executed About Specialist Staffing Group We connect talented engineering, technology and professional services professionals with forward-thinking organizations across North America.
