Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to lead the design and development of complex electrical systems used in advanced semiconductor manufacturing equipment. This position will be responsible for electrical architecture, system integration, troubleshooting, and product development from concept through manufacturing release. This is a great opportunity to work on highly automated equipment involving motion control, robotics, PLCs, power systems, and vacuum process technology while collaborating with cross-functional engineering teams. Key Responsibilities + Lead electrical system architecture and design for complex industrial equipment + Create and release electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, layouts, and technical documentation + Integrate PLCs, motion controllers, robotics, sensors, and power supplies into complete systems + Perform electrical testing, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis + Support manufacturing, installation, and field issue resolution + Ensure compliance with CE, UL, TUV, and RoHS standards + Lead design reviews and mentor junior engineers + Collaborate with Mechanical, Software, Manufacturing, and Field Service teams Required Qualifications + Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering with 8+ years of relevant experience OR + Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering with 6+ years of relevant experience Technical Requirements + Experience designing complex electromechanical or capital equipment + Proficiency with AutoCAD Electrical or similar electrical CAD software + Strong background in analog and digital circuit design + Experience with PLCs, motion control systems, robotics, and industrial automation + Ability to troubleshoot electrical systems using oscilloscopes and diagnostic equipment + Knowledge of high-voltage electrical systems + Experience with system integration and controls design Preferred Qualifications + Semiconductor equipment experience + Vacuum process equipment experience + PLC cabinet design experience + Robotics and advanced motion control experience + Experience supporting products from development through production release + Strong technical leadership and mentoring skills Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Plainview, NY. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $128000.00 - $162000.00/yr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
