Position Overview Our team is looking for an Electrical Engineer II to assist with central-energy and utility initiatives, focusing on power distribution, generation, infrastructure, and system reliability. This position offers a practical design experience for professionals capable of executing power-system assessments autonomously while managing the full project lifecycle, ranging from initial design and documentation to final construction, commissioning, and startup. Core Responsibilities Create designs for 480V and medium-voltage electrical distribution and generation networks. Utilize SKM PowerTools to conduct essential power-system assessments, such as harmonics, load-flow, arc-flash, short-circuit, and protective-device coordination studies. Produce technical documentation, including electrical specifications, calculations, schematics, and one-line or three-line diagrams. Engineer comprehensive systems for lightning protection, grounding, power-factor correction, MCC, DC power, UPS, and generators to ensure robust facility performance. Work alongside architectural, construction, instrumentation, controls, process, and mechanical departments to ensure project success. Evaluate technical submittals and assist in the review of equipment specifications. Deliver engineering guidance throughout the construction, troubleshooting, startup, and commissioning phases to maintain project quality. Support the coordination of technical projects, including the preparation of proposals, schedules, cost estimates, and client communications. Ensure all designs remain compliant with relevant electrical standards and regulatory codes. Required Proficiencies Advanced knowledge of commercial electrical engineering principles. Technical expertise in medium-voltage systems.
