HIRING MULTIPLE LEVELS
(JR - SR) Overview We're looking for a Controls Engineer to design, program, and commission custom automation equipment. This role involves PLC/HMI programming, machine startup, troubleshooting, and working directly with customers during installations and system acceptance. Responsibilities Design and program PLC, HMI, motion control, and automation systems Commission, debug, and troubleshoot custom machines and manufacturing equipment Program and integrate robots and vision systems Work with engineering and assembly teams throughout machine builds Support machine startup, testing, and customer acceptance (FAT/SAT) Provide technical support and operator training during installations Lead automation projects from design through commissioning Mentor junior engineers and support continuous improvement initiatives Travel to customer sites for installation, commissioning, and support Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Controls, Mechatronics, or related engineering field (or equivalent experience) 5-10+ years of controls engineering experience in automation or machine building Experience programming PLCs, HMIs, motion control, robots, and vision systems Ability to read electrical schematics and troubleshoot industrial control systems Strong project management, troubleshooting, and communication skills Comfortable working directly with customers and cross-functional teams Willingness to travel for equipment installation, commissioning, startup, and customer support Equal Opportunity Employer/Veterans/Disabled.
