Major Duties/Responsibilities of Job:
The PCB Test Engineer is responsible for supporting and optimizing Printed Circuit Board (PCB) testing processes throughout manufacturing and product validation. This role focuses on In-Circuit Test (ICT) systems, functional test equipment, PCB failure analysis, and continuous improvement of test methods to ensure product quality, reliability, and manufacturing efficiency. The engineer will work closely with Manufacturing, Quality, Product Engineering, and Maintenance teams to troubleshoot issues, improve test coverage, and support new product launches. Design and develop programs and tests from design specifications suitable for a mass production environment that fosters high product quality and consistent cycle time. 1) Enhance existing Printed Circuit Board (PCB) manufacturing processes and equipment. Idenitfy and implement countermeasures to issues. 2) Investigate new methods to stay current with technological changes in the PCB field. 3) Support production and maintenance with false failures and downtime on production test equipment. Facilitate necessary training. Support existing equipment with current production and new model addition. 4) Coordinate and implement new model launch and design change activities. Identify and coordinate new production and test equipment.Minimum Knowledge, Experience and Education:
Associate's degree in engineering (Electrical preferred) 5 years of experience working in a PCB Manufacturing Engineering environment. Excellent verbal and written communication skills Excellent problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and with little supervision Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, etc.) Basic computer hardware knowledgePreferred Knowledge, Experience, and Education:
Associates degree in Engineering (Electrical preferred) With Associates degree: 4 years applicable experience With Bachelors degree: 2 years applicable experience Experience setting up new models on a variety of equipment Experience troubleshooting processing issues. Experience with new model set up in all areas of SMT (Gang Flash, Label Set, Paste Print, SPI, Placement, Reflow, AOI) as well as P-SMT (Movement set, soldering, ICT, Conf Coat, Aging, & Function). Understanding of "CAN" vehicle bus and Electro-mechanical experience.Benefits:
