Job Requirements Vandalia, OH Clearance Unspecified Polygraph not specified Early Career (2+ yrs experience) Salary not specified Join Premium to unlock estimated salaries Job Description Ability to Obtain a Secret Clearance - Onsite Opportunity Pay $50-65/hr depending on experience This role will serve as an instrumentation specialist responsible for designing and integrating with aircraft systems, mechanical or electrical, as needed to support the collection of data for FAA/MIL certification requirements. Additionally, the role will require maintaining NIST standards for calibration and verification of the measurements, documenting and controlling all calibrations, and supporting all hardware/software requirements both for the data acquisition systems and the IADS real-time display.
Must-haves:
Knowledge of engineering principles and practices Experience with Computer Aided Engineering tools Familiarity with working in multi-disciplinary design and development teams Hands-on experience with aircraft instrumentation systems Experience with flight testing sensor designs, specifications, and installations, including strain gauges, accelerometers, etc
Preferred:
Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry Knowledge of industry-standard electrical design principles, to include, but not limited to model-based definition, electrical component selection, manufacturing, and production processes Familiarity with telemetry systems Familiarity with communication protocols such as 1553, ARINC 429. CAN Bus, and Ethernet Familiarity with Curtiss Wright hardware and software
