Job Description
We are looking for an experienced electrical engineer who can take a leadership role within our electrical department and ultimately become a key part of the firm's long-term leadership team. Ideally, we would like someone with approximately 15+ years of experience in the MEP consulting engineering field, with a strong background in building electrical systems.
We are looking for someone who can initially lead the electrical department from both a technical and management standpoint, while continuing to manage projects and client relationships.
Some of the key experience we would be looking for includes:
Prior experience managing or supervising a small team of engineers/designersStrong project management experience, including managing budgets, schedules, and multiple projectsAbility to perform senior-level technical review and QA/QC of electrical designsExperience developing and maintaining client relationshipsAbility to serve as a technical and project lead directly with architects, owners, and other consultantsExperience mentoring and developing younger engineers and designersStrong understanding of electrical design for commercial, multifamily, senior living, educational, hospitality, and similar building typesAbility to assist with proposals, project scoping, fee development, and business developmentPE license would be strongly preferred, although we would consider the right candidate based on overall experience and capabilities
