Job Description

Role Overview:

The Controls & Automation Engineer is the primary individual responsible for leading all controls efforts for the projects they are assigned. Control & Automation Engineers work closely with Project Managers and Process Engineers to advance their projects through design phases and commissioning.

Responsibilities:

Electrical and panel drawings Selecting and creating purchase order requests for control hardware and field devices Specifying and subcontracting control panels Minor assembly of control panels as required PLC and HMI programming and integration I/O check out in the field Controls commissioning and startup of DSI equipment Assist other team members with their work as needed Review work of other engineers as needed Contribute to the success of other members of the controls team Complete projects and tasks on time

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related associate degree and equivalent work experience Ability to climb stairs and work on ladders/lifts Ability to work with various tools and instruments Ability to work from laptop and phone Authorized to work in the USA and travel internationally

Preferred Competency/Experience/Education:

5 years of controls engineering experience in the food processing industry Detail oriented and self-motivated Capable of performing calculations required to fulfill responsibilities Strong knowledge of Allen Bradley ControlLogix & Rockwell Software FactoryTalk View Platforms Basic CAD skills Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite Willing to continuously learn and improve

Travel:

Willing and able to travel (roughly 25% travel schedule)
