This pivotal role requires a proactive leader with a strong background in facilities management, mechanical systems, electrical systems, and industrial maintenance. As the Chief Engineer, you will ensure that all mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems operate smoothly, efficiently, and safely across both properties. Your leadership will drive a culture of safety, excellence, and continuous improvement, ensuring guest satisfaction and operational excellence at every turn. Duties Lead and manage facilities maintenance teams across both hotel properties, fostering a culture of safety, teamwork, and high performance. Oversee the repair, troubleshooting, and maintenance of mechanical systems including HVAC units, electrical systems, plumbing infrastructure, and low voltage systems. Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs utilizing Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to maximize equipment lifespan and minimize downtime. Ensure compliance with OSHA safety regulations and hotel safety standards by conducting regular inspections and training sessions. Manage facilities projects from planning through execution, including upgrades to mechanical systems or infrastructure improvements aligned with hotel standards. Interpret schematics, technical manuals, and electrical diagrams to diagnose issues accurately using tools such as voltmeters and ohmmeters. Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, inspections, repairs, and safety compliance for audit purposes. Coordinate with vendors and contractors for specialized repairs or installations while ensuring adherence to safety regulations and quality standards. Experience Proven management experience supervising facilities maintenance teams within a hospitality or commercial environment. Extensive mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience repairing HVAC systems, electrical systems (including low voltage), plumbing systems, and industrial equipment. Strong understanding of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) used in building automation systems. Familiarity with OSHA regulations related to facilities management and industrial safety practices. Proficiency in using Microsoft Office applications for reporting and communication purposes. Demonstrated project management skills for overseeing large-scale maintenance or renovation projects from inception to completion. Experience working with CMMS platforms to track work orders and maintenance schedules effectively. Ability to read schematics and technical diagrams; experience with electrical troubleshooting tools such as voltmeters and ohmmeters is essential. Excellent leadership skills with the ability to supervise diverse teams while maintaining high standards of safety and performance. Fluency in English is required for communication across teams, vendors, and documentation.
