Senior Electrical Engineer PE Sandy, UT (100% Onsite Position Monday-Friday) Direct hire, Full Time Start date: ASAP Salary range: $120-$155KYR DOE Core Competencies Power system design and analysis (LV, MV,) Electrical distribution systems (radial, looped, and networked systems) Substations, switchgear, transformers, and protective devices Utility coordination and interconnection requirements Construction documents, specifications, and engineering calculations Code compliance (NEC, IEEE, NFPA, ANSI, and applicable local codes) Electrical Studies & Analysis Short‐circuit and fault current studies Protective device coordination studies Arc flash hazard analysis and labeling Load flow and voltage drop studies Motor starting and dynamic analysis Grounding and earthing system studies Power quality and harmonic analysis Reliability and contingency evaluations Must be able to check electrical drawings. Helpful if understand instruments their function and how they are controlled. Excellent with PIds. Must be familiar with and able to initiate, specify and check Engineering Specifications Construction Specifications Equipment Lists Electrical Single Line Drawings Motor Schematics MCC Layout Drawings and Bill of Material Hazardous Area Drawings and Details Wiring Schedules or Drawings for junction boxes, PLC or DCS cabinets Cable and Conduit Schedules and interconnect Drawings Power Distributions Drawings, including Panel Box Layouts Lighting Drawings and Details Grounding drawings and Details Heat Trace Schedules Bills of Material, as required P&ID's Loop drawings
Job Requirements:
Licensed Professional Electrical Engineer (P.E.) with strong expertise in power systems and electrical power distribution, including low‐voltage (LV), medium‐voltage (MV) systems some high voltage helpful. 8+ years of related design and field experience in heavy industrial industries (refining, mining, petrochemical, oil & gas, EPC projects Demonstrated experience in the analysis, design, and evaluation of electrical infrastructure for heavy industrial, and utility applications. Highly skilled in performing a wide range of electrical engineering studies to support safe, reliable, and code‐compliant power systems. Proven ability to work independently or as part of multidisciplinary teams, providing technical leadership from concept through construction and commissioning. Client facing and enjoys meeting and discussing projects with clients. Pay:
$120,000.00 - $155,000.00 per year
