Job Description
Our agency is working on behalf of our A&E client to fill this role. Relocation assistance is available. The Opportunity We are seeking an experienced, licensed Electrical Engineer to take a senior leadership role within a collaborative, multidisciplinary architecture and engineering environment. This position is ideal for a PE who enjoys owning building electrical design from concept through construction while mentoring others and helping shape the growth of an electrical engineering practice. What You'll Do Lead the design of power, lighting, and data systems for building projects. Develop electrical specifications and construction documentation. Serve as the licensed electrical authority and take ownership of electrical project scope from start to finish. Coordinate closely with architectural, structural, mechanical, and plumbing teams. Conduct site visits and support construction administration, including submittal reviews and RFI responses. Mentor junior staff and help establish standards and best practices for the electrical discipline. What We're Looking For Licensed Professional Engineer (Electrical); Virginia PE required or ability to obtain Virginia licensure through comity. 7+ years of professional experience in building electrical design. Demonstrated experience designing power, lighting, and data systems and sealing drawings. Strong communication, leadership, and interdisciplinary coordination skills. AutoCAD and Revit MEP experience preferred. Experience with lighting design, emergency power, generators, life-safety systems, or institutional buildings is a plus.
