full-time Our client is seeking an Engineering Designer to join their growing team in Roanoke, VA. This is a fully onsite position supporting a variety of Power and Electrical Distribution projects . In this role, you will develop engineering designs and work orders using company-specific software, with comprehensive training provided. Responsibilities Create and revise engineering designs and work orders for electrical distribution projects Utilize AutoCAD and proprietary software to develop utility and power distribution designs Interpret utility maps, engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical documents Collaborate with internal teams, field personnel, and customers to gather project requirements Ensure designs meet company, industry, and safety standards Maintain accurate project documentation and design records Support multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and quality expectations Communicate effectively with customers and stakeholders to address project needs Required Qualifications Associate's or Bachelor's degree in an engineering-related field such as: Engineering Technology Applied Sciences Mathematics Geography Construction Management Or a related discipline Ability to work onsite in Roanoke, VA on a full-time basis Experience with AutoCAD Strong customer service and communication skills Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities Preferred Qualifications Experience in Utilities, Electrical Distribution, or Power Distribution Ability to read and interpret utility maps, blueprints, and construction drawings Previous experience supporting engineering or infrastructure projects
