What You'll Work On Arc flash hazard studies and mitigation strategies Load flow and short circuit analysis Protective device coordination and relay-related work Harmonic studies and power quality analysis Medium- and low-voltage power distribution systems Emergency and standby power systems Industrial and commercial electrical systems Multi-discipline engineering projects Client-facing technical discussions You'll work with industry-standard tools including SKM PowerTools, EasyPower, ETAP, Microsoft Office, and Bluebeam Revu . What You'll Be Doing Develop detailed power system models for industrial, transportation/rail, aerospace, manufacturing, and data center projects. Perform load flow and short circuit studies for new and existing electrical systems. Develop and refine protective device coordination studies. Perform arc flash hazard calculations and assist with mitigation recommendations. Support harmonic studies and other power quality analyses. Conduct field investigations and collect electrical system data. Work with licensed electricians and project personnel to verify field conditions. Prepare detailed power system study reports and technical recommendations. Review studies and designs for compliance with NFPA 70E, IEEE, and NEC requirements. Collaborate with clients, contractors, and internal engineering teams. Support electrical design activities involving medium- and low-voltage distribution, emergency/standby power, lighting, and auxiliary systems. What We're Looking For Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE). 2+ years of professional experience as an Electrical Engineer, Power Systems Engineer, or Power Studies Engineer. At least 2 years of hands-on experience using SKM PowerTools, EasyPower, or ETAP . Experience performing power system analysis, including arc flash, short circuit, load flow, or protective device coordination studies. Proficiency with Microsoft Office. Experience with Bluebeam Revu or similar PDF/document management tools. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines. Strong attention to detail. Ability to work effectively with engineers, clients, contractors, and field personnel. Willingness to travel occasionally for site visits. Ability to satisfy applicable client background and site-access requirements. Experience That Will Get Our Attention You've already become the "power studies person" on your projects—building models in SKM, EasyPower, or ETAP, performing studies, working through protective device coordination, and translating technical results into clear recommendations.
