About the Role As an Electrical Designer, you will work alongside Electrical Engineers, Designers, and Drafters to develop electrical design packages for industrial projects. You'll have the opportunity to work with AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, and BIM modeling while gaining hands-on experience with electrical systems and field conditions. What You'll Do Develop electrical design drawings using AutoCAD, Revit, and Navisworks . Create electrical equipment, lighting, and cable tray layouts in both 2D and integrated 3D environments. Develop and maintain cable and conduit schedules. Assist with evaluating power distribution systems and developing electrical installation packages. Apply knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) when developing electrical layouts and specifications. Prepare and coordinate electrical deliverables, including: Schematics Grounding plans Interconnect diagrams One-line diagrams Electrical layouts Support projects within heavy industrial and pulp & paper environments. Learn and apply BIM modeling standards and protocols . Collaborate with engineers, designers, drafters, and other disciplines to coordinate project deliverables. Work as part of a multidisciplinary team to ensure designs are accurate, coordinated, and constructible. Perform field verification of electrical equipment and existing conditions in new and existing facilities. Ask questions, communicate effectively, and work with the team to resolve design challenges. What We're Looking For Experience or education related to electrical design, drafting, engineering technology, or a similar field . Familiarity with AutoCAD ; experience with Revit and/or Navisworks is a plus. Basic understanding of electrical systems, layouts, and design principles. Familiarity with the NEC is preferred. Ability to read and understand electrical drawings and technical documentation. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Ability to work collaboratively with engineers, designers, drafters, and other project team members. Comfortable asking questions and seeking clarification when needed. Willingness to learn new technology, design tools, and industry standards.
Pay:
$80,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
