Mead & Hunt is seeking an Entry-Level Electrical Engineer to join our team in our West Allis, WI office. In this role, you will support the design and development of industrial electrical systems, assist with engineering analyses and design calculations, and collaborate with experienced engineers on a variety of technically challenging projects while building a strong foundation in electrical engineering consulting.
Responsibilities:
Preparing electrical engineering documents Assisting with the analysis, preparation or modification of reports, plans, schedules, studies, and designs for projects Performing electrical design calculations Assisting with the preparation of design and construction budgets Designing industrial electrical systems such as low- and medium-voltage power distribution and raceways, motor control centers, and lighting (indoor and outdoor) Designing industrial control systems such as industrial control panels, motor and control circuit schematics, and networking systems Additional duties may include attending client meetings and/or serving as an on-site project representative Some travel will be required Other duties as assigned The successful candidate must have a minimum of: Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Electrical Engineering from an accredited four-year college or university The preferred candidate will have: Knowledge or experience related to responsibilities CAD/BIM software (AutoCAD/Revit preferred) Lighting design software, power distribution design software (EasyPower preferred), and Microsoft Office Knowledge of applicable regulatory codes Previous internship experience This role offers structured mentorship, exposure to a variety of project types, and a clear path for professional development. Engineers will be paired with senior staff and gradually transition into design lead responsibilities as skills and experience grow. Why Mead & Hunt?
