An Electrical Engineer designs, develops, and tests products and systems that use or produce electricity, including power generators, electric motors, radar and navigation systems, and communication systems. Works on larger electrical systems rather than small electronic products or devices.
Support the design and development of electrical and control systems for industrial cooling, heating, and fluid handling equipment. This role is responsible for electrical system design, controls programming, documentation, testing, and technical support for manufacturing, sales, and service teams. Responsibilities Design electrical systems including power distribution, motor controls, safety circuits, sensors, and control devices. Develop electrical schematics and panel layouts using SolidWorks and DraftSight. Program PLCs, HMIs, and related control systems for standard and custom equipment. Research and implement new control technologies, including VFDs, HMIs, sensors, and electromechanical devices. Develop testing procedures and support equipment validation. Create and maintain electrical standards, documentation, and BOMs. Provide engineering support to manufacturing, service, purchasing, and sales teams. Work directly with customers and vendors to support project requirements. Support product improvements, troubleshooting, and cost reduction initiatives. Requirements Associate or bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field. 2+ years of electrical engineering or controls engineering experience. Experience designing industrial electrical control systems. Experience creating electrical schematics and panel layouts. Experience programming PLCs and HMIs. Knowledge of NEC, UL, CSA, CE, and related electrical standards. Strong communication and organizational skills. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Preferred Skills Experience with industrial process equipment, pumps, chillers, heating systems, or fluid handling equipment. SolidWorks Electrical and DraftSight experience. Experience with VFDs, sensors, safety circuits, and electromechanical controls. Experience supporting manufacturing and product development environments.
