Position Summary The Senior Electrical Engineer is responsible for providing technical leadership and engineering expertise in support of vessel construction and repair projects. This position develops practical, cost-effective electrical engineering solutions while collaborating with engineering, production, project management, customers, vendors, and regulatory agencies to ensure successful project execution. The Senior Electrical Engineer provides both office-based design support and hands-on shipyard support to verify installations, resolve technical issues, and ensure electrical systems meet project requirements, quality standards, and applicable regulations. Domestic travel may be required. Essential Functions Develop, review, and issue quality electrical engineering deliverables, including calculations, drawings, specifications, reports, engineering change notices (ECNs), and other technical documentation. Design and support marine electrical systems for vessel construction and repair projects while ensuring compliance with project requirements, customer specifications, and applicable regulations. Provide engineering support in the shipyard by reviewing electrical installations, verifying work accuracy, resolving field issues, answering production questions, and assisting with testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting activities. Coordinate assigned engineering activities with production, project management, vendors, and other engineering disciplines to support project schedules, budgets, and successful vessel delivery.
