Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Reads and comprehends elementary diagrams, single line diagrams, & machine control flow sheets Writes PLC programs in the platform required Has a working knowledge of PLC and HMI applications Ability to set up and troubleshoot various communications networks Generates HMI applications following customer requirements Creates drive programs in platform required Understand drive and process loop tuning Provides commissioning support for machine and system installations and start up support Flexibility to support multiple machine start-ups and changing customer demands Capability to troubleshoot hardware systems, components, devices, etc. Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Proven ability to work independently toward assigned goals and objectives Interpersonal skills and a commitment to customer service. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Ability to be on feet for many hours per day supporting project and equipment in a manufacturing environment. Mobility and agility to climb in, on, and around equipment, including low to the ground, in tight spaces and various elevations. Education and/or
Experience:
Associates degree (A.S.) and five years related experience and training Equivalent combination of education and experience Bachelor's degree (B.S.) and five years related experience.
Language Skills:
Basic language skills required
Mathematical Skills:
Basic math and problem solving skills required Unit conversion from SI to metric and vice versa Understands kinematics and first principal physics
Reasoning Ability:
Individual must have ability to make independent decisions that may be of a complex nature.
Computer Skills:
Understands basic IT functions (networks, switches & routers, etc) Understands Virtual Machine configurations Knowledge of Microsoft Windows and affiliated software packages. Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word) Rockwell/Allen-Bradley software preferred, Siemens experience a plus Must be capable of learning other software packages
