Technical Proficiency Full Job Description Overview:
Kimley-Horn is looking for an Experienced Civil CAD Operator or Designer to join our MEP team in St. Pete, FL (Florida). This is not a remote position.
Responsibilities:
Implement and manage drafting and plan preparation standards for complex electrical systems for multiple project types such as office, multifamily, mixed-use, retail, & hospitality projects. Develop technical drawings and plans Requires minimal supervision to perform day to day tasks Has knowledge of engineering principles and suggests design changes May supervise and train REVIT and CAD drafters Coordinates work activities to maintain schedules and ensure quality control Develop familiarity with Kimley-Horn's practices, procedures, and standards
Qualifications:
High School Degree (Preferred Associates Degree (or higher) with emphasis on Drafting and Design Technology from an accredited technical institution or college in engineering 3+ years of electrical experience in multiple project types such as office, hospitality, retail, mixed use, highrise design, multifamily, and some solar design Strong work ethic, interpersonal communication/writing skills and desire to learn Ability to work independently and with a team Willingness to mentor and teach others Detail oriented, professional attitude, good communication, team player, self-starter Understanding of the National Electrical Code, National Electrical Safety Code, IEEE and ANSI Standards Proficiency in Revit & AutoCAD.
