Job Description

We are looking for a skilled, hands-on PLC Programmer to join our team in Lavonia, Georgia. This role is responsible for supporting manufacturing operations through programming, troubleshooting, and optimizing industrial automation systems. The ideal candidate has strong Siemens PLC experience and enjoys solving complex technical challenges while driving continuous improvement in a fast-paced automotive manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Program, troubleshoot, and maintain Siemens PLCs, HMI systems, and industrial control systems Support production and maintenance by diagnosing and resolving automation and equipment issues Implement automation improvements to increase machine reliability, efficiency, and productivity Participate in continuous improvement initiatives through process optimization and control system enhancements Support new equipment installations, machine commissioning, and production startups Integrate new automation technologies into existing manufacturing processes Maintain PLC programs, software backups, electrical documentation, and control system records Support preventive and predictive maintenance activities related to automation equipment
Qualifications:
3 to 5 years of experience in industrial automation or controls engineering within a manufacturing environment Extensive experience programming and troubleshooting Siemens PLC systems is required Experience with Siemens TIA Portal, STEP 7, WinCC, and HMI development preferred Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems, machine controls, sensors, drives, and automation equipment Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and control drawings Associate's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field preferred Must be able to work on-site in Lavonia, GA Pay is based on your previous experience.
