: Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced professional to join our team. This role involves designing and coordinating technical aspects of electrical substations, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and promoting effective collaboration among teams.
Responsibilities
Design and review protection schematics, wiring, layouts, and bill of material deliverables for both new and existing substations.
Adhere to QA/QC processes to ensure accurate deliverables to customers.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including internal and external engineers, designers, and document control personnel.
Coordinate drafting and construction of protection components.
Create and review project deliverables such as design packages and vendor equipment drawings to ensure alignment and satisfaction.
Support field activities, including site assessments and data collection, as needed.
Ensure compliance with industry standards, engineering codes, company policies, applicable regulations, and customer standards.
Demonstrate strong analytical and critical thinking skills to solve technical and operational problems effectively.
Promote collaboration, team cohesion, organization, and attention to detail in all project phases.
Qualifications
4-7 years of design drafting experience in developing schematic, wiring, and other technical drawings.
Associate of Science Degree (AS) from an accredited college or technical school required.
Strong leadership and communication skills with an emphasis on collaboration.
Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while adhering to design schedules.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and PDF software.
Experience working with engineering design software such as 2D AutoCAD and Microstation.
Experience with smart wiring software and 3D AutoCAD is a plus.
Strong focus on collaboration with team members and meticulous attention to detail.
